This pocket hand lens from Opticron features a 21mm, fully coated three element (triplet) glass lens for excellent image brightness, resolution, and colour correction, and 6 LEDs to illuminate subjects in low light. Constructed from a lightweight allow with brushed steel housing and supplied with a hard leather case, it is able to withstand the rigours of field work and makes a great addition to any naturalist's field kit, whether they are studying plants, insects, or mammal signs, or any other field. 10x magnification makes this lens excellent for a wide variety of applications, and the addition of a UV light source allows for the ability to appreciate organisms with fluorescent properties.
To use a hand lens, hold it close to your eye then bring the specimen up to the lens until the point where it is in focus.
When using the UV feature, hold the lens away from the eye at a short distance from the object. Note: The UV will show fluorescent features but it can be difficult to see them in high magnification. The primary purpose of the UV is to highlight fluorescent features on the observed object.
Supplied with a hard leather case and battery cover key. Features a metal loop for the attachment of a lanyard.
