Manufactured in Devon, the Softwood Badger Gate is constructed from untreated, FSC certified timber. For use in badger mitigation projects this gate is especially useful in instances where a sett needs to be closed and multiple entrances need to be covered.
The gate is designed and built to Natural England's specification and includes two doorstops allowing the gate to open one way, both ways or to be locked.
The Softwood Badger Gate is supplied with two pieces of wood for controlling access through the gate. One piece is already fixed to the gate, the other is supplied ready to attach if required. Attaching both locks the gate fully, removing both allows free access in both directions. These panels are fixed with screws, which are supplied, and would require a standard screwdriver to fit/remove.
Please note: badgers and their setts are protected under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 and a licence is required to work on or near a sett.
