The NHBS Exclusion Badger Gate is designed to prevent badgers from entering zones where they are unwanted, such as at a licensed sett closure or a solar farm. The gate is constructed from aluminium and is lighter than most steel gates but still strong enough for repeated use in sett and other kinds of exclusions. It weighs just 3kg and has a solid gate flap. The gate has pointed legs to allow you to easily drive it into the ground using either a wooden mallet or a hammer and block of wood (do not hit the frame directly with a hammer).
The gate is fitted with an aluminium stopping plate on each side; these can be arranged so that the gate can only be opened one way. An M6 bolt is used to secure the plates and you will need a size 10 spanner to loosen and arrange them to suit your needs.
We also supply packs of Stainless Steel Cable Ties for securing the gate within netting. High Tensile Pegs can also be purchased to secure Badger Netting to the ground.
Designed and manufactured by NHBS.
Badgers and their setts are protected under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992. If placed at a sett this gate can only be used under licence.
