The Ecuadorian species of Meliaceae are revised. Eight native and two introduced genera have been recorded: Azadirachta (introduced, 1 sp.), Cabralea (1 sp.), Carapa (2 spp.), Cedrela (4 spp.), Guarea (22 spp.), Melia (naturalized, 1 sp.), Ruagea (8 spp.), Schmardaea (1 sp.), Swietenia (1 sp.) and Trichilia (23 spp.). Two new species are described: Guarea persistens W. Palacios and G. subandina W. Palacios, and one new name is introduced, Guarea fistulosa W. Palacios. All taxa are described, keys and specimen citations are provided, as well as ecological information.
