Eleven genera and 31 species occur in the country: Allionia (1 sp.), Boerhavia (3 spp.), Boldoa (1 sp.), Bougainvillea (2 spp.), Colignonia (5 spp.), Commicarpus (1 sp.), Cryptocarpus (1 sp.), Guapira (1 sp.), Mirabilis (4 spp.), Neea (10 spp.), and Pisonia (2 spp.). One species is described as new: Neea obovoides Harl. Keys, descriptions and specimen citations are given for all taxa. All genera are illustrated.
