Flora of North Andaman Islands: In Reference to Six Wildlife Sanctuaries provides floristic data on the vascular plants of six wildlife sanctuaries, viz. East Island, Landfall Island, Narcondam Island, North Reef Island, Paget Island and Peacock Island in North Andaman that have a total area of about 53.88 km2. It enumerates 387 taxa (372 angiosperms, two gymnosperms and 13 pteridophytes) belonging to 295 genera and 108 families. The book provides a detailed analysis, updated nomenclature of each taxon, brief description, phenology, habitat, occurrence, voucher numbers with specific locality and association, together with more than 235 colour photographs. The book also provides data on important species which will help further for sustainable utilization and conservation strategy.
