As many as 50 species of the genus Cortinarius are described and illustrated with photomicrographs, scanning electron microscope photographs and color photographs. The descriptions as well as the iconographies have been realized by a group of Ibero-Insular Cortinariologos (G.I.C.) who have systematically published interesting species collected in the Mediterranean area up to the alpine zone of the Iberian Peninsula. In this book of 236 pages the species are illustrated with 236 color photographs of macro and microscopic characters.
