The HI-Sound DR is designed to provide the best sound quality, minimal interference, and increased portability, making it the ideal addition to your wildlife recording set-up. This parabolic features a unique folding design which allows it to be dissembled for ease of storage and transport to hard to reach places. The folding design also allows for two focal points, one on each removable wing, split by a septum, further increasing the stereo effect. A larger overall diameter increases low-frequency sensitivity. The microphone which is attached to the main unit via magnets consists of four highly sensitive low-noise AOM-5024 sensors shared across two channels. An aluminium handle provides lightweight strength and a foam covering provides comfort for prolonged use. The handle features an integrated Whitworth thread tripod mount. Choose between a mini jack 3.5 mm golden plated and standard mono XLR input options depending on your choice of external recorder. The recorder must support PIP plug-in power if it uses a 3.5mm jack and phantom power if it uses an XLR lead
