This guide was designed as a tool to help everyone know and understand the amazing world of Argentinian Central Andes high mountain plants (North of Mendoza and South of San Juan), showing its diversity and adaptations to these extreme environments. This book presents 141 species that live mostly over 3000 m above sea level are presented here, many of them small and mimetic, although with striking flowers to attract the few pollinators in the area.

Esta guía fue pensada como una herramienta que permita ayudar a conocer y comprender el sorprendente mundo de las plantas de alta montaña de los Andes Centrales de Argentina  (Norte de Mendoza y Sur de San Juan), mostrando su diversidad y adaptaciones a esos ambientes extremos. Se presentan 141 especies que vivenmayormente por encima de los 3000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, muchas de ellas pequeñas, miméticas, aunque con flores llamativas para atraer los escasos polinizadores de la zona.
