Conservation Land Management (CLM) is a quarterly magazine that is widely regarded as essential reading for all who are involved in land management for nature conservation, across the British Isles. CLM includes long-form articles, events listings, publication reviews, new product information and updates, reports of conferences and letters.
Uttar Pradesh, constituting about 75 districts is the second largest state of India spread over an area of 294,411 sq. km. i.e. about 9% of the total area of the country. Tfhe state has a wide altitudinal variation ranging from 300 m - 7817 m and accordingly a varied climate that accounts for a rich floral diversity. Till date there is no consollidatcd account of the flora Uttar Pradesh. This can be achieved by bringing out checklists of larger groups initial stages. Such attempts in the recent past have resulted in bringing out Checklists of The Grasses of Uttar Pradesh (Uniyal et al. 1994) and Cyperaceae of Uttar Pradesh (Sanjay Kumar Uniyal etal. 1997). The present work completes the checklist of the monocotyledonous plants of Uttar Pradesh.
