This classic Motic stereo microscope has been purposely designed for the classroom and is ideal for introducing students to microscopy. Offering 20x and 40x magnification options, it is perfect for looking at whole specimens such as plants, animals and fossils. Transmitted and incident illumination are supplied by LEDs that are fitted on the pole-stand, these provide brilliant light with no heat. The Motic ST 30C 6LED is battery operated and therefore cordless. The rear-facing binocular head is 45˚ inclined with a diopter adjustment on the left eyetube. The objectives are parfocal, parcentric and achromatic and magnification is changed by turning the turret 180˚ to the click stop. There is a heavy-duty rack and pinion focusing block with slip clutch.
Supplied with black, white and frosted 80mm stage plates. A dust cover is also included.
