About this product

The NHBS Kent Bat Box is a multi-crevice bat box based on the proven and popular Kent design from the Kent Bat Group. Made from untreated rough-sawn Douglas fir, the NHBS Kent Bat box features two distinct rough textured crevices which provide ample roost space. The open entrances mean the box is self-cleaning and does not require any maintenance, the droppings simply fall straight down and out of the box.

A wooden mounting bracket allows for the box to be firmly mounted to a tree or building and two protruding nail heads provide a handy anchor point when strapping the box to a tree or pole.

The box should be sited at least 3m from the ground away from artificial light sources, sheltered from strong winds and exposed to the sun for part of the day. Ideally, several boxes should be placed facing different directions, as this provides a choice for roosting bats. A clear path to the entrance of the box is essential.

The NHBS Kent Bat Box is suitable for crevice-dwelling species. Fixings not included.
