About this product

Designed in France this trail camera is a great entry-level option capable of taking up to 20MP images and FULL HD 1296p (30 FPS) Video, complete with a 26 no-glow LED array and an integrated solar panel. The internal lithium battery, powered by the solar panel, is the unit's main power source and can be charged via the supplied USB 2.0 cable. Four AA batteries (lithium batteries are recommended) can be used as a secondary power source, only being drawn upon when solar energy is unavailable.

The PIE1069 boasts a 0.3 second trigger time, a 90-degree field of view, and a PIR sensor sensitive up to 20 metres with a 60-degree field of view. Sensitivity level can be set to Low, Medium, or high. The 26 no-glow LED array has an adjustable brightness (Auto, Low, Medium, Off) with a range of up to 20 metres. A 2-inch LCD colour screen built into the camera allows photos and battery levels to be checked in the field. Capture, image, video, and general settings are manipulated via this screen.

Capture settings include; Up to 10 still images per trigger, video length from 5 seconds to 3 minutes, and capability to simultaneously capture stills and video (hybrid mode). Images and videos can be set to export with stamps indicating the date, time, temperature, moon phase, energy level, and camera name

This unit supports a Micro SD card up to 128GB U1 class (10 minimum), images are stored as JPEG, and videos as MPEG-4.

The unit is weather resistant (IP66) and supplied with a 2-year warranty.

Note: The PIE1069 is not compatible with the Python Mini Cable Lock.

Note: Although rechargeable batteries (of at least 2500mAh) can be used with trail cameras, they are not recommended due to their lower capacity and voltage. Therefore they are unlikely to operate the camera at its full potential, or as reliably when compared with standard lithium batteries. If the use of rechargeable batteries is necessary we recommend Panasonic Eneloop Pro batteries which have been shown to perform well with trail cameras.  Additionally, we recommend using a microSD card with a minimum write speed of 10MB/s (also labelled as U1 or class 10).
