The Pettersson U-series is a range of high-performance ultrasonic USB microphones. These small microphones can be plugged directly into a smartphone or tablet and allow you to hear and record bat calls with excellent quality. They use a MEMS ultrasound microphone that features high sensitivity, low noise and ultra-low power consumption. They have slim and robust aluminium casings and their small size makes them ideal for carrying into the field, alongside your smartphone or tablet.

Similar to the Pettersson M500-384, the U-series USB microphones are compatible with devices using Windows, OS X, Android, iOS and Linux. The microphone can be used with most common sound recording apps and programs that support recording up to 256kHz (u256) or 384kHz (u384) sampling rates.
