About this book

Covering the 43 resident species that occur in North-west England (out of 49 in the UK), this 120-page book summarises the key features to look out for on this difficult but fascinating group of Geometrid moths. The information on finding pugs make this a useful introduction to moth recorders outside of this area as well. Each species account gives a short morphological description, mentions what is known about larval food plants, and describes distribution and flight period. For each species photos of the adult moth and, where available, the larva, a colour distribution map, and a chart showing the flight period are included.
