About this book

Language: Spanish

Every year a large number of people in the world suffer bites or stings from poisonous animals. In these cases, the speed and precision with which the appropriate antidote is administered are crucial to stop the damage caused by the toxins inoculated into the human body.

This work is a meticulous study of some classes of animals considered highly dangerous, such as spiders, scorpions and snakes, famous for the amount of damage they can cause. In the class of arachnids, species such as the black widow, the brown recluse spider and the tarantula stand out, in addition to the numerous types of scorpions. As far as snakes are concerned, the most poisonous species are included. When analyzing each species, the author provides the generalities, classifications, preventive measures, symptomatology of the victim and specific treatments for the different degrees of injury. Specific cases of patients are also compiled, in order to illustrate the various courses of action to follow, and a glossary, three appendices and an extensive reference bibliography are included. This book will give the reader the possibility to act quickly and correctly in the mentioned cases.
