Designed and built in the UK, the SwiftLoft is an innovative and economical solution to the challenge of providing suitable nest sites for our declining swift populations. Suitable for retrofitting or new builds, it is discreetly integrated into the fascia board and soffit area on a property to provide an ideal nook for swifts and a variety of other small birds.
The SwiftLoft's internal cavity features a concrete floor piece with nesting bowl designed to suit swifts. The lightweight design enables easy integration while keeping the overall cost low. It provides a simple, permanent nesting site suitable for building into a wide variety of structures. It should be installed at least 5m from the ground in a shaded, sheltered place away from windows, vents, and predator access. It is always important to allow swifts a clear flight path in and out of their boxes.
For retrofitting, please select the retrofit option and you will be provided with the swift loft structure and a plastic panel designed to cover the installation hole. This is not required if the loft is going to be built into a soffit board prior to installation.
