The number of threatened and near-threatened birds accounted for 16.5% and 9.8% of the assessed number of birds, respectively, and 8.3% and 4.9% of the total number of birds. There are 37 species that are globally threatened present in Taiwan, 14 of which are threatened in Taiwan, one occurs near Taiwan close, and 22 are not present in Taiwan.
