Fascinating, curious and exciting are some of the very common exclamations to be heard when the subject of sharks comes up. And there are pretty good reasons for that. Although we consider ourselves to be the most "evolved" beings on the planet, we all have intimate, ancestral fears of predators capable of hunting us like prey. Comprehensive information on attacks on the Brazilian coast, including detailed analysis of the most current statistical data, is given with comments and explanations. Basic principles of prevention, medical aspects and treatment are also covered, and real cases are reported and commented on.
