This book describes urban leopards found in India outside of forests and wildlife sanctuaries, sharing habitat with humans. This situation is quite common in the northern and central parts of India. The author is an avid wildlife photographer and volunteer environmentalist who has carried out a study of urban leopards in the Sahyadri region and Western Ghats of Maharashtra. The author relates the stories of his encounters with these leopards as they naturally happened supported by photographs of each encounter. Tushar has also carried out a comparative analysis of the behavioural changes shown by leopards to survive in a human-dominated habitat.
