Dunedin Academic Press

Edinburgh-based Dunedin Academic Press (DAP) publishes books on geology and the Earth sciences, aimed chiefly at university students and professionals. In January 2024, their list was acquired by Liverpool University Press.

DAP’s Classic Geology in Europe Series includes books on Iceland, The Hebrides, The Gulf of Corinth and The Western Highlands of Scotland. The Introducing Earth and Environmental Sciences Series, many of which are useful primers for non-specialists, include Introducing Volcanology, Introducing Palaeontology and Graham Park’s Introducing Geology, described as a ‘key resource for amateur and professional geologists alike’.

Other Dunedin Academic Press titles include Scottish Fossils, The Making of Europe: A Geological History, and Geology of Ireland.
